Dear Dusty,
I saw you give a big hug to Adam Dunn after he hit the homerun to win Saturday's game. I hope that was because he saved you from looking like you made major mistake. Congratulations, you won the game. Your gamble worked... this time. But the fact is, that is the exact strategy that has caused this team and this organization to struggle. Dunn should have bunted. Better yet, a substitution should have been made to put in a player who is a better bunter. Lets get back to small ball. The fans are tired of this. Adam Dunn hits a homerun to win the game. Great. But 9 out of 10 times (being very generous here), he won't. Then our rally is screwed and we lose the game. Dusty, we are early into the season but I am already questioning some of your decision making. As a Reds fan, I am glad the game was won tonight. But you got lucky. Letting Adam Dunn swing away with first and second on and no out in the bottom of the ninth was a mistake.

You're a moron. Dusty is the reason this team won't contend for the playoffs, but Dunn should never appear in a small-ball role.
For those people who think the Reds should unload Adam Dunn, think again. How do you make up 40 homers and 100 RBI's if you let him go. He has warts (slow afoot, below average fielder) but he can change the outcome of a game with one swing of the bat. Sign him to the long term deal he deserves. To make room for Bruce, keep trying to peddle Griffey. He's had a great career but his best years are behind him. If they can't trade Griffey, bring up Bruce and use him as role player until something opens up.
