1. Did you know that Corey Patterson is making $3 million this year? He was getting the $500,000 to come to camp but John Fay said he will get the bigger salary. Does that change how you feel about him? Keep in mind Hopper is making $400,000.
2. Anyone see Coffey pitch today? Jeff Brantley said, "this is not intelligent pitching". Reminds me of his entire season last year. At least he is skinnier.

That wasn't the best move for the money in the off season. I outfield is already busting out of the seams with talant and then you
add Patteson to the Mix.

If Patterson plays the way he has through two games, i'm good with him getting $3 mil. Best defensive outfielder on the team, it looks like.
$3 million for Patterson is a joke. The guy is a horrible leadoff hitter and slightly above average in the field. He would have had decent value at $500,000, but at $3 million he's a waste. Hopper is just as good defensively and gets on base more.
Brantley is really starting to tick me off with how negative he is getting. I don't mind it so much with Coffey because he sucks, but he needs to lighten up on Encarnacion. I was thrilled to see Brantley look like a fool after the walk-off shot.
